BIOGRAPHIE
Kenichi Tahara, Keisuke Nakagawa et Hideya Suzuki étaient dans le même collège durant leur enfance. Au lycée, ils ont malheureusement été séparés mais cela ne les a pas empéché de continuer à se voir. Dans leur nouvel établissement où ils se retrouvent, les deux premiers adolescents font la connaissance de Kazutoshi Sakurai. Tous les quatre décident, en 1988, de former un groupe de musique; originellement appelé The Walls. Ce n'est qu'un an plus tard que le nom deviendra Mr. Children. En 1992, sortent enfin leurs deux premiers albums : Everything et Kind of Love. Mais le succès viendra réellement grâce à la sortie du single Cross Road en 1993, qui se révèle être la chanson thème d'une série télévisée du moment. Ce dernier se vendra à plus d'un million d'exemplaires. En 1995, il reçoivent le Nihon Record Taishou Grand Prize pour récompenser la vente de Innocent World dans l'archipel, qui s'est écoulé à près de deux millions d'exemplaires. Par la suite, chacun de leurs albums se vendra aux alentours du même nombre; ceci confirmant que Mr. Children a décidement de beaux jours devant lui.
